About Liquin Terminals

Liquin’s facilities – including Europe’s largest methanol pool, a premier fuel ethanol hub with denaturing systems, state-of-the-art styrene storage and flexible distribution solutions – allow us to deliver a wide range of services across a broad portfolio of products. We also have optimized systems to efficiently handle customs clearance and excise procedures. And with highly experienced people who are not only committed to excellence and innovation but also responsive to client feedback, the result is exceptional service, always and everywhere.

Our heritage

Under the name Vopak Rotterdam Botlek., Liquin was originally part of Koninklijke Vopak N.V. operating largely as standalone enterprise. After significant investment in the three terminals, Vopak decided to sell them as part of its strategic goals. As a result, Infracapital, a specialist European infrastructure investor, acquired Vopak Rotterdam Botlek., in 2023. Moving forward as Liquin, the company is well positioned for further and accelerated growth in current markets and new energies.

Our mission

Liquin is a leader in the handling and storage of bulk liquid and special chemical products. We stand for sustainability, flexibility and efficiency, with safety as our number 1 priority. By connecting the right players, and identifying and seizing opportunities, we help our clients chart new courses, in the energy transition for example. And we help their businesses grow. As a result, we create a world of endless opportunities.

Our vision

The world around us is changing rapidly and we embrace that change. With a strong position in the Port of Rotterdam and space to expand, we want to explore new avenues, including the storage of renewable and sustainable products. By doing this as cleanly and safely as possible, we aim to contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world.

Community Engagement

At Liquin, we believe in the power of collaboration. Not only with our clients, but also with the communities we are part of. That’s why we are actively involved in supporting local initiatives in the Rotterdam region.

Since 2024, our CEO Janhein van den Eijnden has served as Chair of the Deltaport Donation Fund: a regional fund that supports a wide range of social and community-focused projects in and around the Port of Rotterdam. The fund is supported by contributions from over 70 companies, including Liquin, and provides financial assistance to initiatives in areas such as sports, culture, sustainability, and education.

“Our aim is to help build a stronger, more inclusive, and future-proof region,” says Janhein. “The Deltaport Donation Fund supports non-profit projects that contribute to a more vibrant and livable community.”
